Google Earth is now bigger and better than ever, even on iOS. Google Earth enjoyed a major makeover in April 2017, but the new and improved app was only originally available on Android and Chrome. Now, however, the new Google Earth is also available to download on iOS as well.

Google Earth Gets a Much-Needed Makeover

The new update (Google Earth 9), which is now available to download from the App Store, is an excuse to give Google Earth some much needed attention. The new Google Earth offers a host of new features, all of which are designed to help us see this beautiful planet in a new light.

Voyager offers interactive stories about some of the most fascinating places on Earth. From here you can take virtual tours of museums, watch live camera feeds of animals, or see itineraries for visits to some of the great cities of the world. All from the comfort of your own home.

There are also knowledge cards offering extra tidbits of information about locations and landmarks. There’s an “I’m Feeling Lucky” button capable of exporting you to a random location. Or you can use Google Earth to take a snapshot of somewhere you want to visit in the future.
